Eden House is a residential family assessment centre based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, in the North of England. Empowering families and transforming lives is our mission. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, develop and thrive in a safe, loving environment.

Our residential family assessment centre provides a warm, welcoming and family-orientated setting where parents are supported, respected and given the opportunity to demonstrate their full potential while continuing to care for their children. We work collaboratively with local authorities, professionals and parents to provide tailored support that strengthens parenting skills, builds confidence and helps families meet their children’s changing needs.

At Eden House, our objective is simple: empowering families and changing lives. When families come to stay with us, we work alongside them to support the changes needed to ensure their children’s safety, well-being, and long-term future.

We deliver high-quality parenting capacity assessments while simultaneously promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children in our care.

We combine assessment, guidance, and practical support in a safe, nurturing environment where families have every opportunity to progress and thrive.

Eden House includes self-contained flats, en-suite and standard family rooms, all fully furnished with essentials such as TVs, fridges and cots where required. Families also have access to communal lounges, kitchen and dining areas, a nursery playroom and a secure outdoor play space. The centre is located close to local amenities and transport links, creating a welcoming and accessible environment.

We provide 24-hour staffing from experienced safeguarding professionals. Safety is our highest priority, and we work closely with local authorities and partner agencies to ensure robust, multi-agency safeguarding practice.

All families are supported through structured risk assessments, clear care planning and a high level of supervision, alongside CCTV in communal areas (excluding bathrooms), in line with safeguarding requirements and relevant residential family centre regulations.

Before referring, you can contact our team. Referral is made by the local authority social worker.

When we recieve the referral this is reviewed by the home manager against our referral criteria.

A decision will be made after reviewing your documents. We will inform you of the outcome.

Parenting Skills: We offer a range of sessions to support parents in developing their parenting skills.

Life Skills: We offer a range of sessions focusing on supporting parents to develop life skills.

Health Care: We support parents with learning about how they can promote their health and the health of their babies.

Personal Care: We offer sessions to support parents in learning how to promote personal and home hygiene.

Tailored Programmes: We offer and create tailored programmes to support parents with their individual learning needs.

Therapeutic Support: Parents are offered therapeutic sessions and support when staying with us

Dedicated Play Worker: We have a dedicated play worker on-site to support parents with learning about age appropriate play.
